Osimhen returns to camp and seems fit for the next training
Nigeria is on the run to prepare for an interesting match against Liberia. However, only two of the national team players are yet to resume training and are still expected in camp, [Odion Ighalo and John Noble].
In the absence of Omonia Nicosia netminder Francis Uzoho, who is officially absent due to his illness. Noble was called to keep up the pace and assist the team.
Also, Ighalo has been RECALLED to the squad after he hanged his boot for international games [two years ago]
In addition, Victor Osimhen was announced by The Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday that the Napoli backbone has linked up with his international teammates in Tangier. Which adds up the total number of players at the Nigerian camp, to twenty-two.
Nigeria has been seen to struggle past many countries in the group stage…winning 2, drawing none, and losing one.
These encouraging stats is more than enough for the national first team members to boost their chances of qualifying.
Speaking of boosting, Nigeria was handed a boost on Sunday as Osimhen was confirmed to return to action after his calf injury. Which was approximately one week earlier.
The Napoli man had cleared all objections concerning his fitness as he played a full 90 minutes against Hellas Verona.
Nigeria number 9, Osimhen is the present top goal scorer for Nigeria, as he shares the same position as Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.
How be it, the Super Eagles will have their first training session at 1030 hours. Following a team meeting that will be held at 1215 hours.
Lunch at 1300 hours. And then the next training.
